A Seafood Market & Raw Bar

Our Story

For generations, New England’s working waterfronts have been defined by the daily rhythm of commercial fishing boats returning to harbor with the day’s catch. Rye Seafood Co. continues that tradition from the historic fish shacks of Rye Harbor, where the connection between fishermen, seafood markets, and the local community has long been part of the Seacoast’s identity. Built around the idea that seafood is best enjoyed close to its source, the market reflects the heritage of small harborside fish houses that once lined the New England coast, places where fishermen unloaded directly to the dock and neighbors gathered for the freshest seafood available. Today, that tradition lives on through direct relationships with local boats, a commitment to fresh, responsibly handled seafood, and a dedication to preserving the character of a true working waterfront for future generations.

Our Seafood Partners

Hidden Coast Shellfish

SoPo Seafood

Harbor Connection

At Rye Seafood Co., our harborside market is built around one simple idea: seafood should move from boat to customer as quickly as possible. Located directly on the working waterfront, we source fresh catches from local independent fishermen and bring them from the dock to our display case in hours not days.

Our connection to the harbor allows us to handle seafood the right way, with careful cold storage, and hands on preparation that preserves quality and flavor. Working directly with fresh catch instead of auction houses, we support local fishing families while giving customers greater transparency into where their seafood comes from.

More than just a fish market, we’re joining the working waterfront tradition that defines the New England coastlines. A place where fresh seafood, local industry, and community all come together.
