Rye Seafood Co. is looking for full-time and part-time retail associates to join our crew! We are committed to serving the freshest seafood out of Rye Harbor and our local communities to our customers. If you’re excited about working by the coast and you’re someone who loves connecting with people, we’d love to meet you! Candidates must be willing to work weekdays and/or weekends.

Retail Associate

What You’ll Do
  • Help customers choose the right seafood and shellfish to meet their needs 
  • Keep the prep and check out areas clean and organized 
  • Process sale transactions and take cash and digital payments 
  • Assist in stocking and rotating merchandise
  • Support teammates in selecting, weighing and packaging seafood as needed
 
Who We’re Looking For 
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs 
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time 
  • Friendly and reliable team player
  • Customer oriented mindset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory and transaction records 
  • Must be willing to train in safety and health requirements as required by the state 
  • Must be willing and able to handle raw seafood 
 
Shucker

What You’ll Do
  • Help customers choose the right seafood and shellfish to meet their needs 
  • Keep the prep and check out areas clean and organized 
  • Assist in processing sale transactions and take cash and digital payments as needed
  • Assist in stocking and rotating merchandise
  • Select, weigh, and package seafood 
  • Shuck and package oysters 
  • Follow food safety and sanitation standards throughout tasks and service/prep areas 
  • Properly handle, clean, and store equipment and tools
 
Who We’re Looking For 
  • Ability to lift up to 20lbs 
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time 
  • Friendly and reliable team player
  • Customer oriented mindset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory and transaction records 
  • Must be willing to train in safety and health requirements as required by the state 
  • Must be willing and able to handle raw seafood 
  • Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations preferred but not required
  • Previous experience with shucking is preferred but not required
